Prime Minister Imran Khan approved a reduction in gasoline prices on Thursday, Federal Finance Minister Hammad Azhar announced on Twitter.
The government has cut the price of gasoline by 1.79 rupees, after which it will be sold at 108.56 rupees per liter from April 16.
The prime minister has also approved cuts in prices for other petroleum products, Azhar said. The addition of high speed diesel (HSD) would sell at a deduction of 2.32 rupees at 110.76 rupees per liter.
