The meeting of the national command and operation Centre was held on 19th May 2021 to review the decision regarding the closure of the educational institutes and the resumption of the various other activities. The NCOC meeting was chaired by the Federal Minister for Planning, Development, Reforms and Special Initiatives, Asad Umer. After the meeting, it has been announced that the educational institutes in the areas will less than 5% coronavirus positivity ratio will be reopened from 24th May 2021 and all the schools, colleges, and universities across the country will resume their academic activities from 7th June 2021 in a staggered manner. The meeting also decided that the annual high school and Higher Secondary school exams will be held after June 20, 2021. It is worth mentioning here that the professional and non-professional exams will be started according to the recommendations of the Ministry of Education. The federal minister had previously announced that it would postpone all tests across the country due to the third wave of the coronavirus pandemic.
