After a flash flood triggered by a downpour in the Salkhala area in the Neelum Valley in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), around 30 houses were destroyed on Monday evening Neelum Valley Cloudbrust Video and a couple went missing, officials said.
“I just spoke to DC Nelum [sic]. He has confirmed that 2 missing people were hospitalized Monday night.
District Disaster Management Officer Akhtar Ayub told Dawn.com Tuesday morning that the district headquarters in Neelum, Athmuqam, and its surrounding areas had been exposed to heavy rain since 9:00 p.m. Monday.
