Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has announced Metro Bus Free Ride From Peshawar Mor to Islamabad Airport that the metro bus service will be free for commuters during Ramadan. He made the announcement during an inspection of the project earlier Thursday (this) morning.

He also questioned the four-year delay in the completion of the Peshawar Morr Metro Bus project to New Islamabad International Airport during the Islamabad Metro Bus Service visit.

He was briefed on the project by officials from the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and the National Highway Authority (NHA) and said that Rs. 16 billion has been spent on the project and the delay is disappointing.

The Prime Minister has ordered a committee to be formed to investigate the delay.

He was also informed that the metro bus service from Peshawar Morr to New Islamabad International Airport will partially start on Saturday April 16 after fifteen buses have been taken over by the Punjab Metro Bus Authority and that the buses for this project will run until May 5th will be available.

PM Sharif also noted that the Metro bus service should be able to allow passengers to carry luggage and ordered the establishment of a Metro bus station on the highway.

The Prime Minister also asked for the immediate feasibility studies of the Bhara Kahu and Rawat routes.

She added that the premier has insisted upon quality traveling facilities for the residents of Islamabad and its adjoining areas.
