All schools issue transcripts to all students, showing their subject grades with teachers’ notes. PEC stands for Punjab Examination Commission which was established in 2005 and now works under the Punjab Examination Commission Act XI of 2022 to improve the examination system of primary education and administers examinations of 5th and 8th grade students. PEC scores are produced from approximately 2-5 million 5th and 8th grade students from each county’s public and private sectors who appear on the exam. PEC, made up of 3 MPAs, 2 educators and 2 government-appointed private school members, pays special attention to teachers, teacher trainers and researchers to improve students’ learning at the elementary school level.
