KARACHI: The Education Minister of Sindh, Saeed Ghani, has made it clear that the schools in the province will no longer open from tomorrow (Monday).

The minister said so in response to confusion over whether or not to reopen schools in the province from June 7 on Monday, as the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) had previously given instructions to all educational institutions in the province up Keep closed on June 7th

Ghani said schools in Sindh will remain closed pending further orders from the provincial government, adding that the steering committee will hold a meeting in the next few days to decide the matter.

“The schools will remain closed until June 7th, but until no further orders are issued by the government,” he said.

“The meeting will take into account the coronavirus situation in the province and decide whether or not to reopen educational institutions,” he said.

Ghani announced that the Steering Committee will also finalize the audit plan.
